This site is, of course, for entertainment purposes only and is in no way connected with any kind of collegiate sports organization. No one under 18 years of age. You must be this tall to ride. Please keep your arms and hands inside the car until the contest comes to a complete stop. Keep making that face, and it will freeze like that. Mind the gap. Your mileage may vary. No electrons were harmed in the creation of these pages.
BradZone 2012: Basketball Survivor Rules
  1. Entries in the BradZone 2012: Basketball Survivor contest must be fully submitted by noon on Thursday, March 15. A selection must be made for each game of the tournament, and a point total for the championship game only must be specified. Incomplete entries will be fed to a Rottweiler named Muffy.
  2. This year's tournament includes four "first-round" games starting on Tuesday, March 13 where the last four at-large teams and the last four automatic-bid teams will play to get four spots in the main 64-team bracket (two will get 16 seeds, and two will get seeds around 11/12). If you submit your entry before noon that Tuesday, you may get up to four sweet bonus points for correctly picking four "first-round" games.
  3. Each correct pick in the tournament receives a number of points that increases with each succeeding round.
    • Correctly pick the four "first-round" games: 1 sweet bonus point each
    • Correct picks in the second round: 1 point
    • Third round: 2 points
    • Regional semi-finals: 3 points
    • Regional finals: 4 points
    • National semi-finals: 5 points
    • National championship: 6 points
  4. As always, there is no rule number four.
  5. At the conclusion of the tournament, the entrant with the highest number of points will be the winner and has BradZone bragging rights for the next year.
  6. Ties will be broken by using the total-number-of-points-in-the-championship-game prediction; the closest prediction to the actual number of points in the championship game will win the tie-breaker.
  7. If you have to share one computer between two people with separate entries, contact the tourneymaster for directions. Please don't show off by submitting multiple entries to cover all possible permutations of the game.
